Toe Up Sock Class

When: Thursday, November 14th and 21st from 6-8pm, in-person.
Skills Level: Advanced Beginner: Comfortable knitting/purling flat and in the round, reading knitting instructions, picking up stitches, increasing and decreasing.
Class Description:
Explore and develop the fundamental skills of toe up sock knitting. This class will teach you step by step instructions for creating your first pair of toe up socks. Learn Judy’s Magic Cast on for a seamless toe, working through a classic knitted sock from toe, to foot, to gusset, heel turn, heel flap, to leg. Touch on fundamental techniques like increasing, decreasing, getting the best fit sock, and short rows.

Homework:
Before you come to class, swatch (in the round) your yarn you will need to meet a gauge of 32 sts x 48 rounds. Gauge is important to getting the best results for your socks.
Measure the following: Circumference of the ball of your foot while standing with full weight on your foot, length of foot for best measurement stand with heel against the wall then measure from the wall to the tip of your longest toe.
Optional; with a piece of cardboard draw and cutout of your foot and bring it to class.

Class Policy: This class requires a minimum of 3 students. Notification of cancellation will be sent within 3 days before class start time if the minimum is not met. In the case of shop cancellation, all registered students will be refunded the class fee. Any additional fees including shipping of materials will not be refunded. Student cancellations, missed classes or no-shows can not be refunded, exchanged or transferred.
Covid Policy: Masks are currently optional but encouraged. Please bring your own mask. Please do not attend class if you are not feeling well or have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 5 days of class time.
