Write Around Portland's 59th Anthology!
Moon Leaps, is about navigating lightness and darkness, about wisdom gained, and about leaning into the creative self and the healing power awaiting us there.
"Write Around Portland celebrates 23 years of changing lives through the power of writing. We hold creative writing workshops in hospitals, schools, treatment centers, homeless youth shelters, senior centers, prisons, affordable housing buildings, and throughout our community.
The workshops culminate in community readings and in the publication of anthologies like this one. Moon Leaps, our 59th anthology, features writing by participants in workshops that took place in fall 2022. Write Around Portland volunteer facilitator Dominique Brillanceau and Write Around Portland Executive Director Chris McDonald wrote the introductions.
The sharing of these stories enriches the lives of writers and readers alike.
In any life-especially one lived in poverty or isolation-there is a vital need for art, community, and joy. You will find all of this and more inside the covers of this book."
